Channeling influence from early punk, thrash, death, and dark/black metal, brash intensity is prioritized in Elyse’s songwriting style. Lyrical themes around powerful goddesses, witchcraft, and divination are fused with observations of modern times and personal experiences. Avowal is a frank acknowledgment, an affirmation of the truth of what you believe. Out of step, defiance.
